Marking Valentine’s Day, the exhibition explores love stories and reflections from people over the age of 60. Ms Darsa said: "The ‘Lessons in Love’ photographic project has created so much more than a striking set of studio portraits. Christopher (Image: Middlesex University)Costas (Image: Middlesex University)Elizabeth (Image: Middlesex University)Each portrait is displayed alongside a short interview, sharing the subject’s personal thoughts and experiences on love. Lee (Image: Middlesex University)Hilda (Image: Middlesex University)Among the stories featured is that of Hilda, who said her daughter was her greatest achievement, even though the pregnancy was unexpected and unwanted. Lee shared a poetic reflection that reads: "Love is precious as there is so little time ahead, You just have to run with it, don’t drop it, Our hands need to hold, love that’s fragile, Love that’s old."
