But as we inch closer to the halfway mark of the season, it’s starting to look like even money to me on which position Dubas needs to strengthen first. Do the Leafs prioritize a top-four defenceman, or do they need to get a top-six left-winger? The Leafs need a new threat on the left side and in a perfect world it would be someone with some jam. No stretch of consecutive points in the back end of the season can convince anyone the Leafs don’t need a Muzzin-type replacement for playoff battle.
