Labour MP Ingrid Leary has issued an apology for queue-jumping past traffic and allegedly speeding in a van with her name on it. Leary, who represents the Taieri constituency, was publicly called out in a letter to the editor of the Otago Daily Times. According to the letter writer, John Neilson, he witnessed Leary’s van queue-jumping on a congested bridge on State Highway 8 in Otago. In response to the letter, Leary admitted to her actions, acknowledging that it was an unwise decision.
