KUALA LUMPUR: The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, and the Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, are on a special visit to the United Kingdom. The King and Queen’s visit began yesterday and will officially end on Sept 27, after which Their Majesties will stay in London until the third week of October. Their Majesties, it said, had also consented to visit the Malaysian High Commission in London on Sept 24 for a meeting with Malaysians, including entrepreneurs, academicians, students and community leaders. Meanwhile, Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah, who is Deputy Yang di-Pertuan Agong, will be performing the functions of the King during this time. The King, he added, was also scheduled to attend a reunion dinner at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst where His Majesty studied between 1978 and 1979.
