King Charles and Queen Camilla joined fellow members of the Royal Family at Windsor Castle for the historic Order of the Garter ceremony. The Order of the Garter is the oldest and most senior Order of Chivalry in Britain and was established by King Edward III nearly 700 years ago. On Monday, Ladies and Knights of the Garter processed through the grounds of the castle before entering St George’s Chapel for the Garter service. Celebrated composer Lord Andrew Lloyd-Webber and Air Chief Marshal Lord Peach were among the new appointments to ‘The Garter’ this year. The Duchess of Gloucester was made Royal Lady of the Most Noble Order of the Garter.
