A Kenyan company, Gabeire A Group (GAG), has been awarded a prestigious multibillion-dollar project for the construction of a 250km road from Antananarivo to Toamasina in Madagascar. Speaking at the launch ceremony to commemorate the beginning of the construction project, Investments, Trade, and Industry Cabinet Secretary, Rebecca Miano, said the achievement underscores Kenya’s expertise and capacity in the realm of infrastructure development and investment. It is a source of immense pride and serves as the bedrock of our economy,” said Miano. This groundbreaking project, valued at US1 billion and funded by the World Bank, marks a significant step towards enhancing connectivity and progress in Madagascar. The project holds immense promise for Kenya, serving as a catalyst for trade by exporting Kenyan expertise in construction and technology consultancy, as well as attracting investment.
