The StarThe paper reported that Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is under siege as competing forces within Mount Kenya threaten his political career. Known as Kenya Primary Schools Education Assessment (KPSEA) under the new Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) education system, the tests have replaced the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) carried during the phased out 8-4-4 syllabus. Nyaribo stated that only parents registered as voters in the county will have their children eligible for the county's education scholarship. This is the third phase of the Nyamira County Education Scholarship Program, aimed at supporting talented students from poor backgrounds to pursue their education. Students who scored 300 marks and above were assessed by the Ward Scholarship Committees and approved by the Nyamira County Scholarship Board.
