The Kenya flagship carrier would resume normal flight operations from Nairobi to Dar es Salaam after the Tanzanian government lifted its ban. Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCCA) had revoked all KQ flights from Nairobi to Dar es Salaam. The TCAA statement further noted that the government of Tanzania asked Kenya to grant KQ the freedom to return to Dar es Salaam. Kenya Airways assured customers that no flight disruption would occur between Nairobi and Dar es Salaam.
