Stephen Hodgson, 26, formerly of Whitehaven, was sentenced to eight years in prison at Carlisle Crown Court in 2020 for the attempted rape of a teenager in Kendal he had met online. "Staff held fortnightly segregation review boards and created a care plan to support Mr Hodgson’s progression out of the segregation unit." The ombudsman report concludes: "Mr Hodgson was a challenging prisoner for staff to manage. "He was located in the segregation unit during his time at Full Sutton. "My investigation found that staff provided good support to Mr Hodgson."
