KUALA LUMPUR: The woman who caused a stir at a luxury retail store here for refusing to wear a mask has been handed two RM1,500 compound notices by the police. Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Noor Dellhan Yahaya said they had completed their investigations and issued the compound notices to the woman on Sunday (Oct 31) for breaching standard operating procedures (SOP). Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Amihizam Abdul Shukor was quoted saying the police had identified the woman and were investigating the case. The incident at the KL luxury goods outlet was caught in a short clip by Twitter user @DFEfiercefun. It immediately went viral with “Karen” – the generic name used for self-entitled white women – being a top trending topic on social media on Wednesday (Oct 27).
