DHAKA, July 21, 2025 (BSS) – Eminent journalist Sohel Manzur, Publisher and Editor of the News Times, died of cardiac arrest at his residence in the city’s Mohammadpur area today. He left behind his wife, a son, a daughter and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death. Sohel Manzur was also an adviser of Journalism and Media Studies Department of Atish Dipankar University of Science and Technology (ADUST). ADUST Board of Trustee Chairman Shamsul Alam Liton, member secretary Md Kamruzzaman Litu and Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Jahangir Alam expressed profound shock and sorrows at the death of Sohel Manzur. Besides, Economic Reporters Forum (ERF) President Doulat Akther and General Secretary Abul Kashem also expressed deep shock and sorrows at the death of Sohel Manzur.
