Indian student dies after colliding with pickup truck in Canada

Toronto, Nov 27 (PTI) A 20-year-old Indian student died after being hit by a pickup truck while crossing the road on his bicycle in Toronto, Canada. In a news published on Friday by the news website ‘CBC.ca’, the deceased’s relative Praveen Saini was quoted as saying that the deceased Karthik Saini had come to Canada from India in August 2021. Praveen told that the family is hopeful that Karthik’s body will be sent to India at the earliest. It has been reported in the news that Sheridan College has confirmed that Karthik was its student. Police said in a press release on Thursday that the bicyclist died after being hit and dragged by the pickup truck.
