India on Friday said Pakistan cricket team would be treated just like any other country participating in the International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup. “On Pakistan cricket team’s security concern for travel to India: Pakistan’s cricket team will be treated just like any other country participating in the World Cup,” the Indian spokesperson said in a statement. The high-stakes cricket match between Pakistan and India will be played on October 14 at the world’s biggest cricket stadium in Ahmadabad, Gujarat. Pakistan decided to allow the team to participate in the World Cup on the recommendation of a high-powered committee. It has, therefore, decided to send its Cricket Team to India to participate in the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2023,” the Foreign Office had said.
