Pakistan and India have long accused each other of supporting terrorists and separatist groups on their territories. Pakistan’s defence minister Khawaja Asif on Tuesday afternoon suggested Afghanistan’s Taliban government was to blame for the bombing. New Delhi and Kabul both deny any involvement in terrorism in Pakistan, and accuse Islamabad of using allegations of such involvement as a pretext to destabilise both nations.
