In Iran, men are crucial to the success of women’s fight for freedom

The battle for equal rights there is far from over, however — the revolution could have been crushed if it weren’t for the men joining the fight. Men and women around the world must continue to stand in solidarity if we are to see this revolution won. And yet, the historic stance taken by men in this movement has heralded a shift in their consciousness. Men have realized that there cannot be freedom for anyone if there is no fairness and freedom for women. However, it will also take the support of men, in Iran and around the world, to emerge victorious.
