Mining, Blue ecomony and Maritime affairs CS nominee Ali Hassan Joho has cleared the air about the allegations of being involved in drug trafficking. He explained the late Internal Security Minister George Saitoti even at one point tabled a report in parliament that cleared him of such allegations. He added that he comes from a family that is "blessed with businesses" and is thankful for what he currently has. He said if he was doing illegal business he would not have "survived" past regimes. He revealed that his family does not do business with any government entity noting “We are in logistics business in Uganda, Tanzania, South Sudan Dubai and here in Kenya”
