Yesterday (November 4) saw roads in Carlisle facing severe congestion, as St Nininian's Bridge was closed due to flood water. Other schools were affected, in Brampton, standing water affected William Howard School buses at home time. Residents and visitors in these locations are being urged to remain cautious, avoid floodwater, and follow advice from local authorities as river levels continue to respond to recent heavy rainfall.
