Some 13 million travelers visited Hong Kong in the first half of 2023, according to latest data released by the city’s tourism board on Friday. Last month (Jun), the SAR played host to some 2.75 million travelers, and some 2.15 million were from the mainland. The board expected that the city’s tourism sector will recover steadily in the second half of 2023. The board said it will continue to enhance the promotions in various source markets by deepeningthe “Hello Hong Kong” campaign. The city will also continue to stage mega events such as the Hong Kong Cyclothon, Hong Kong Wine and Dine Festival, Hong Kong WinterFest, and the Hong Kong New Year Countdown Celebrations.
