Hamiduzzaman Khan, an illustrious sculptor and artist, has died at the age of 79. He passed away at 10:07am on Sunday while undergoing treatment at Dhaka's United Hospital, according to his wife and painter Ivy Zaman. Hamiduzzaman was admitted to the hospital on Jul 15 and had been in intensive care for three days, she said. His body may be taken to Dhaka University's Faculty of Fine Arts from the hospital, Ivy said. Once the family informs us, we will notify everyone," said Azharul Islam, dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Dhaka University.
