Grand Egyptian Museum will celebrate the centennial birthday the legendary Umm Kulthum with a concert on February 21. Grand Egyptian Museum partnered with RMC Worldwide to organize Umm Kulthum tribute concert titled “Voice Of Egypt”. Umm Kulthum was a beloved Egyptian singer and actress; she is considered one of the greatest singers in Arab history. In 1944, Umm Kulthum was granted the highest level of Order of Virtues, ‘Nishan el-Kamal’ by King Farouk. Her valuable belongings and old records and tapes were moved to the Umm Kulthum Museum at Manasterli palace in December 2001.
