Authorities responded Thursday evening to a report of a missing toddler at the Bow River Campground, southeast of Canmore. (CBC/Radio-Canada - image credit)A two-year-old girl died Thursday evening after falling into the Bow River near Canmore. Canmore RCMP said they received a 911 call shortly before 5 p.m. about a child possibly in the water near the Bow River Campground, roughly five kilometres southeast of downtown Canmore. RCMP officers, fire crews, conservation officers and a mountain rescue team all responded to help find the girl. About a half hour after the initial 911 call, a firefighter found the child in the river.
