The Commissioner-General of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), Ammishaddai Owusu-Amoah, has announced the implementation of rent tax by end of the year. He noted that rent tax app will also be designed to track properties whether it is rented or owner-occupied. Rent Tax must be paid within 30 days after the rent income is received by landlords or property owners. Payment of the rent tax can be made at the nearest Domestic Tax Revenue Division Office and at all banks.
