The Met Office predicted showers to simmer down the heat in the week to follow with rain on the cards starting May 12. The hot spell is expected to persist for two to three days, according to meteorologist Kazi Zebunnesa. "Rain is expected from the 12th or 13th of the month. Daytime temperatures are expected to edge up slightly over the next 24 hours while the mercury is likely to remain stable at night.
