The attack occurred at the Majlis-e-Aza (mourning assembly) held at Ali bin Abu Talib Imambargah in Wadi Kabir area, leaving an additional 30 Pakistanis injured and receiving medical treatment. Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch condemned the cowardly act, expressing Pakistan's grief and solidarity with the victims. Following the attack, Omani security forces quickly cordoned off the mosque and the injured were rushed to nearby hospitals.
