The eldest son of Haji Salim is taken into custody over a murder case filed at Chawkbazar Police StationPolice have arrested Solaiman Salim, the eldest son of Haji Mohammad Salim and former Dhaka-7 MP. “Solaiman Salim is one of the listed suspects in a murder case filed at our police station,” he said. Since then, Awami League ministers, state ministers, top leaders, and influential members of parliament have been arrested. Solaiman’s father, Haji Salim, was arrested on Sept 1 in a murder case filed at the Lalbagh Police Station. In 2001, he ran as an Awami League candidate, but lost the race to the BNP’s Nasir Uddin Ahmed Pintu.
