Forecast says more rain on the wayThe Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast more rain on the way under the influence of the persistent monsoon winds. Meteorologist Kazi Jebunnesa said there is likely to be more rain from Tuesday and it will slowly spread to a larger area. Parts of the Rangpur, Rajshahi, and Mymensingh divisions could also see moderately heavy to heavy rain. Most of the other parts of the country saw some rain. Typically, 1-10mm of rain over a 24-hour period is considered to be light rain, 11-22mm is considered moderate rain, 23-43mm is considered moderately heavy, 44-88mm is considered heavy, and over 88mm is considered very heavy.
