Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry took part on Saturday in the inauguration ceremony of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. According to Foreign Ministry spokesman,Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, Shoukry’s participation in the inauguration ceremony was mandated by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi. This came during a telephone conversation between the Egyptian President and the Turkish President to congratulate him on the occasion of his victory in the presidential elections and his re-election as President of Turkey for a new term. The Turkish President expressed his “appreciation for this good gesture. The Turkish President won in the run-off presidential elections last Sunday, with official results showing he received 52.1% of the vote and opposition leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu 47.9%.
