CAIRO - 7 July 2020:The Health Ministry said Tuesday night that 164 new coronavirus cases were detected, upping the total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak in the country began to 282,421. In a statement, Spokesman for the Health Ministry Khaled Megahed said 22 patients have died from the virus over the past 24 hours, raising the death toll to 16,306. Speaking to Sada Al Balad TV channel, the adviser reiterated on Monday that Egypt has overcome the third wave of coronavirus and the numbers of Covid-19 cases are going down. The Health Ministry said Monday night that 175 new coronavirus cases were detected, upping the total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak in the country began to 282,257. In a statement, Spokesman for the Health Ministry Khaled Megahed said 20 patients have died from the virus over the past 24 hours, raising the death toll to 16,384.
