CAIRO - 26 May 2020: The Health Ministry said Tuesday night that 1,140 new coronavirus cases were detected, upping the total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak in the country began to 256,124. In a statement, Spokesman for the Health Ministry Khaled Megahed said 49 patients have died from the virus over the past 24 hours, raising the death toll to 14,807. As many as 987 patients were discharged from isolation hospitals after receiving necessary medical care, taking the number of recovered cases to 187,691 so far, the spokesman said. The Egyptian Airports Company (EAC) began vaccinating workers at airports across the country against Coronavirus. This comes as part of the effective cooperation between Ministries of Civil Aviation and Health, so that the workers in tourism and airport sectors receive the vaccine.
