During a cabinet meeting held Tuesday, headed by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Health Minister Hala Zayed shed light on the latest global developments of the coronavirus in terms of countries that recorded the highest daily death rates, as well as the position of vaccines on the African continent, noting that Egypt ranked second after Morocco in terms of vaccination rates on the African continent. She also addressed the latest developments regarding the coronavirus, in terms of the number of weekly infections and the occupancy rates for isolation hospital beds. Zayed reviewed the procedures for travelers coming to Egypt, explaining that these procedures have been updated in line with the procedures taken in many countries. She explained that 943 scientific papers were published by Egypt on the coronavirus, and quotes from Egyptian research were used 7.935 times. She added that Egyptian scientific research represented 24.5 percent of the total research conducted in Africa.
