Forty percent of our population under five is growing at a stunted rate, which is indicative of a decline in human development indicators. Due to its low income, health, and education indicators, Pakistan is ranked 161 out of 192 countries in the Human Development Index for 2021–2022, placing it in the “low human development category.” India is ranked 132 on the HDI right now. Pakistan’s human development indicators keep getting worse over time, and the country’s ranking keeps falling. This proves to Mr. Benhassine that Pakistan’s present economic structure is ineffective. In addition, he enumerated the necessary reforms, which included enhancing basic services, bridging the gap in human development, fortifying fiscal management, safeguarding the business and economic environment, and transforming the agricultural and energy sectors.
