Ascot Racecourse will be hosting its annual team race and concert in August this year. The Dubai Duty-Free Shergar Cup, a unique fixture in the racing calendar which sees teams of jockeys compete for the trophy, will take place on August 10. Three riders will compete for each team in the single-day race, to win the Shergar Cup, a title which the Ladies' team will be defending this year. It is sponsored by Dubai Duty-Free, which has been associated with the Shergar Cup since its inception. Ascot Racecourse, founded in 1711, hosts 26 race days per year and welcomes more than 600,000 visitors across the events.
