A baby born to a South African woman incarcerated in a Senegalese prison has been brought home to be with their family. The child's mother was arrested for drug trafficking in 2023, and the child was born in a Dakar prison shortly afterward. In the care of the Department of Social Development's social workers, the child arrived at OR Tambo International Airport on Sunday.
