As many as 204 new patients have been hospitalised with dengue fever while no fatalities were reported from the Aedes mosquito-borne disease across Bangladesh over the past 24 hours. With the latest cases, the total number of dengue hospitalisations this year has risen to 11,660. In 2024, a total of 101,214 patients were hospitalised due to dengue nationwide, with 575 fatalities reported. Since then, a record 321,179 dengue hospitalisations were logged in 2023. In 2022, a total of 101,354 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across Bangladesh, marking the second-highest annual count.
