Two more people have died of dengue in the past 24 hours, while 394 new patients have been hospitalised across the country, bringing the year’s death toll from the Aedes mosquito-borne disease to 78. A total of 19,923 people have been admitted to hospitals with dengue since January. According to the Directorate General of Health Services, one patient died in Barishal and another in Chattogram in the 24 hours leading up to Monday. The highest number of new patients admitted in the past 24 hours was in the Barishal Division, with 108. Currently, 1,258 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country with dengue, 348 in Dhaka, and 910 outside the capital.
