Dallas Stars sign defenseman Derrick Pouliot to one-year, two-way contract

The Dallas Stars signed defenseman Derrick Pouliot to a one-year, two-way contract, the team announced Tuesday. Pouliot had two assists in eight games for the San Jose Sharks last season. In 37 games for the San Jose Barracuda, the Sharks’ AHL affiliate, Pouliot had 25 points (21 assists, 4 goals) in 37 games. He has appeared in 221 career NHL games with Pittsburgh, Vancouver, St. Louis, Vegas, Seattle and San Jose.
