For writer-director Christy Hall, the origins of Daddio were in fact all of those, beginning when she was a youngster in a small town in Oklahoma. "As a kid, there was a show on HBO called Taxicab Confessions that I was way too young to be watching. But I remember I would sneak downstairs in the house and put it on and watch it in the dark.
