The Dhaka University Election Commission has released the draft voter list for the university's central students' union (DUCSU) and hall unions polls, with a total of 39,932 eligible student voters.According to the list released on Wednesday in line with the official election schedule, about 52 percent (20,904) of the voters are male students, while female students account for nearly 48 percent (19,028).Among female voters, Ruqayyah Hall has the highest number at 5,676, followed by Kabi Sufia Kamal Hall with 4,495, Shamsun Nahar Hall with 4,098, Bangamata Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall with 2,651, and Bangladesh-Kuwait Maitree Hall with 2,108.Among male halls, Jagannath Hall has the largest number of voters at 2,254, followed by Bijoy Ekattor Hall with 2,013, Muhammad Shahidullah Hall with 2,017, Shahid Sergeant Zahurul Huq Hall with 1,961, Muktijoddha Ziaur Rahman Hall with 1,735, Fazlul Huq Muslim Hall with 1,779, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall with 1,600, and Masterda Surja Sen Hall with 1,495.Other halls include Sir AF Rahman Hall (1,480), Haji Muhammad Mohsin Hall (1,394), Amar Ekushey Hall (1,319), Kabi Jasimuddin Hall (1,298), and Salimullah Muslim Hall (559).The draft list has been posted on notice boards across all dormitories and distributed to departments and institutes.Students can file objections until 4pm on Aug 6.
