Highlighting the pragmatic shifts that occur post-election, despite the heated rhetoric during campaigns, this new government configuration will not please everyone. It is time those who have been given the mandate to govern get on with that job, writes Mbhazima Shilowa. While this was directed at the DA, which at the time was engaged in what seemed like a tug-of-war with small and new political parties during an election campaign, it applied equally to other political parties. Like them, I knew that, unlike on social media, where people lap everything politicians say, politics is not a zero-sum game in real life.
