The pair recently attended the Wicked For Good premiere in Singapore, and were walking the “yellow carpet” to promote the new movie musical when a man leapt over the barrier and grabbed Ariana, jumping up and down. “I wasn’t really thinking, I just wanted to make sure my friend was safe,” the Oscar nominee said. He has since been handed a short prison sentence for the incident because of his history of similar disruptions. Cynthia and Ariana’s bond has been a much-loved aspect of the Wicked films.
