Footage has emerged of Queensland's Liberal National party leader, David Crisafulli, speaking at an event on 31 May 2023, during which interviewer Kerry O'Brien asks if he 'fundamentally' embraces 'a woman's right to choose'. He answers that he doesn't 'believe in late-term abortions'. 'If you’re asking me about would I ever support recriminalising it, the answer is absolutely no,' Crisafulli says, adding: 'But those issues are a conscience vote and I will never, ever be the kind of leader that tries to lock people into that.'
