PETALING JAYA: Malaysia reported its lowest daily case figure in about three months, as the country reported 8,075 new infections on Monday (Oct 4). The last time Malaysia had a lower daily case figure was nearly three months ago, when the country reported 7,097 cases on July 7. It is also the second day in a row that the country’s case tally is below 10,000. Dr Noor Hisham said of the 867 ICU patients, 807 are confirmed Covid-19 cases, while the others are suspected cases. The country’s active Covid-19 cases have gone down to around 150,000, of which 82% are people with mild or asymptomatic infections and are undergoing home quarantine.
