A Dhaka court has banned former Air Force chief Shaikh Abdul Hannan and three members of his family from travelling out of Bangladesh. Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib issued the order on Monday after the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed a plea seeking the ban. Those barred from travelling abroad include Hannan’s wife Tahmida Begum, son Shaikh Labib Hannan, and daughter Sanjida Akter. ACC Assistant Director Anisur Rahman submitted the petition seeking the ban. The ACC told the court it suspects they may attempt to flee the country, and their departure would obstruct a fair investigation.
