Child among 3 dead as rickshaw hits pothole, overturns into path of lorry in SavarAt least three rickshaw passengers, including a child, have died in a road accident after they were hit by a lorry in Savar’s Ashulia. Another person has been injured in the accident, which occurred around 9:45pm on Sunday in Ashulia’s Bypile area on the Nabinagar-Chandra Highway, according to Saleh Ahmed, chief of Savar Highway Police Station. I heard a lot of screaming and went to see what happened. Locals attempted to block the road in protest immediately after the incident took place. Police seized the lorry that was involved in the accident, but the driver and his helper had already fled, Saleh said.
