— Music will be ringing through Victoria Park in Charlottetown on July 1 as the city has been chosen to be showcased during CBC's national Canada Day programing. As one of three cities from across the country chosen for the Capital City Canada Day broadcast special, city officials have planned an array of family-friendly activities throughout the day in lead-up to the show. Headlining the musical performances will be the band 6 Hearts, which will be taped by CBC for use in the national broadcast, starting around 6:40 p.m. Residents are asked to come enjoy the music and show their Island spirit to the rest of Canada. A public rehearsal for the 6 Hearts performance will be held in Victoria Park between 6:15-7:15 p.m. on June 30.
