In his first address that day, Yunus declared that the interim government aimed to serve the entire nation and meet the people's aspirations. Despite the calamity, Yunus delivered a second national address on Aug 25, urging the public to remain patient. In his second address, he also presented the government's priorities and action plan, promising to restore democracy. On Sept 11, about a month after taking office, Yunus delivered a third national address.
