The Blackhawks and Flames traded a few chances and the Blackhawks had a power play, but neither side was slowing down much and there were few stops of the play. The Blackhawks turned in another exceptional penalty kill in the middle of the second period, but neither side was doing much creating. The Blackhawks killed the second penalty at that point (the third in the period against Chicago). After serving three penalties in the second period, the Blackhawks finally got a power play early in the third. Credit to Wolf and the Flames’ shot blockers for keeping the score where they did.
