Over 100 people have been killed across Bangladesh in violent clashes following Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's resignation and flight from the country. Hasina's residence, Sudha Sadan, and other buildings were attacked, vandalized, and set on fire. Local media reports stated that 119 people were killed in attacks, including violence at Hindu temples and widespread looting. The violence has its roots in escalating tensions since the government's announcement of a new quota system in June. Clashes intensified after more than 200 people were killed in previous protests involving police and student demonstrators.
