Avalanche serve Stars reminder of Central Division’s depth in shootout loss

Beginning with Monday night’s 3-2 shootout loss to the Avalanche, the Stars will be getting more vivid reminders of just how tight the Central Division has become. Oettinger made 34 saves for Dallas, including 10 in the first period to keep the Stars in the game. The last time the Stars played the Avalanche, they escaped Denver with a victory thanks to a heroic 46-save effort from Oettinger. Robertson’s 12-game point streak tied Patrick Sharp’s 12-game streak in 2015-16 for the second-longest in Dallas Stars history. If Robertson extends the streak for one more game, he’ll tie Dave Gagner (1993-94) for the Dallas Stars record.
