An autopsy conducted on the body of Daniel Koikai, the father of deceased reggae star Njambi Koikai, has determined that he passed away due to excessive bleeding. The results revealed that Daniel Koikai allegedly died as a result of excessive bleeding caused by two deep cuts to his neck, which were reportedly self-inflicted. The pathologist indicated that the deceased allegedly used a knife to inflict the cuts, leading to severe bleeding and his subsequent death. According to the detectives, Daniel Koikai might have made such a decision after being troubled over his absence in Njambi's life when the daughter needed him most. Daniel allegedly passed away while his daughter's burial ceremony was underway at Lang'ata Cemetery in Nairobi.
